NYC Elite Staff

Meet our fantastic staff! Each coach is safety certified and specially trained to offer your child the best gymnastics program possible. From former Olympians to National Champions, each member of our talented staff brings their own special gifts to your childs training,

Originally from Brazil, Ana comes to NYC Elite with over 16 years of coaching experience. As a competitive gymnast Ana has traveled internationally, visiting countries such as Germany, Australia, and Sweden. She now coaches both the USAG and USAIGC team competitors here at NYC Elite. She expects the best from her students while maintaining a supportive and warm atmosphere. When not teaching, she spends time with her husband, Coach Daniel, and her two sons at their home in New Jersey.
Nesha has coached for over 18 years, a natural progression for her after having trained as a competitive gymnast. She has worked professionally on Broadway and as a circus performer. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Theatre/Dance Performance & Sports Education from New York University. When not coaching or running to a rehearsal, Nesha enjoys traveling the world and finding beauty in a new place.
Daniel comes to NYC Elite after coaching all across the world. He began in Brazil, earning a degree in physical education, and moving on to coach in the Netherlands and Argentina. He then went on to coach gymnastics in Israel, at one point training the Israeli Army parachute unit in Martial Arts. He came to the United States in 2008, going on to win USAIGC states in both 2013 and 2014, as well as having his copper team win nationals in 2014. He is a central figure in the development and training of our Upper West Side USAG and USIGC teams, and he believes the key to success is always trying your best no matter the outcome.
Hailing from the windy city, Carolyn earned her Bachelor’s degree in Dance Performance from the University of Illinois. She is a rehearsal director and dancer for Roschman Dance. She has coached for 4 years, and enjoys the balance between coaching gymnastics and dancing professionally. In her free time, she enjoys riding her bicycle around the city, and occasionally, her unicycle!
Javier is a New Yorker, by way of South Florida. He began his career as an interior designer moving to the city in 2011, and quickly joined the NYC Elite SoHo front desk team. Under the mentorship of Jim McKay, he has flourished into one of our most asked for preschool coaches. His background in the arts gives way to his creative teaching approach in which he makes each of his students feel as special and supported as possible. When he's not at the front desk he can be found dancing his heart out in the bubble room.
As a Florida native, Kaela brings her southern charm and sunny disposition to NYC Elite. Starting in 2013, she has quickly become one of our most asked for advanced teachers, while helping to develop and coach our USAIGC competition team. Prior to joining us, Kaela was a member of an award winning cheerleading team at the University of West Florida. She is currently finishing her degree in International Business, while being a student at Alvin Ailey and fitness enthusiast. Kaela challenges her students to set and accomplish their goals with a sense of discipline, while smiling and laughing as much as possible.
